The Home Energy Assistance Program provides utility assistance to eligible households in Colusa, Glenn and Trinity Counties. Utility assistance can help households in meeting their energy costs. Assistance for eligible households can only be provided one-time per year. Payment assistance can be made for one of the following:

The Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help (REACH) is available to Glenn County residents through the Housing and Community Services Unit (530-865-6129) during emergency service hours and to Colusa County residents through the Colusa County One-Stop (530-458-0326 ext. 104).
The REACH program is a one-time energy-assistance program sponsored by PG&E and administered through the Salvation Army from 170 offices in northern and central California. Those who have experienced an uncontrollable or unforeseen hardship may receive an energy credit up to $300, credit amount based on the past due amount of the bill. REACH assistance may be available once within an 18 month period, but exceptions can be made for seniors, the physically challenged and the terminally ill.
